A Heartbreaking Discovery Among Concrete and Dust
Workers at a construction site in Mobile, Alabama thought they were beginning another ordinary day.
Then someone noticed movement near a pile of debris beside the road.

Tavi.
A softer name for a puppy who had already lived through unimaginable cruelty.
Though her injuries were severe, Tavi immediately surprised everyone caring for her.
Even while recovering from pain, fear, and trauma, she still wagged her tail whenever someone approached gently.
It was as though the little puppy refused to let cruelty destroy her spirit completely.
Learning to Feel Safe for the First Time
As days passed, Tavi slowly began healing inside foster care.
Warm blankets replaced cold dirt.
Gentle hands replaced pain.
For the first time in her short life, she had toys, food, medical treatment, and people who truly cared whether she survived.
Videos shared by the rescue showed the tiny puppy carefully playing with another dog, slowly learning what safety and friendship looked like.
