A man was riding his motorcycle down a quiet road when he noticed something disturbing ahead.

A truck was carrying an old metal cage in the back.

Inside was an elderly black-and-white dog, curled up in the corner. The dog looked exhausted and barely moved as the truck continued down the road.

The man immediately accelerated.

He leaned forward and chased the truck, trying to close the distance.

As he got closer, the old dog slowly lifted its head and looked at him through the metal bars.

The man pulled his motorcycle alongside the back of the truck.

He studied the cage and spotted the metal lock holding the door shut.

Then he reached for a hammer.

Keeping one hand on the handlebars, he raised the hammer with the other and struck the lock.

CLANG!

The first hit damaged the metal, but the cage stayed closed.

The truck kept moving.

The man accelerated again, moved closer, and swung the hammer a second time.

CLANG!

The lock bent.

The cage door shook violently.

One more hit.

The lock finally slipped away from the latch.

Slowly, the cage door began to open.

The elderly dog lifted its head, struggled to stand, and carefully moved toward the opening.

But the truck was still moving fast.

The dog reached the edge of the cage and looked down at the road rushing beneath it.

The man stayed beside the truck and reached one hand toward the dog.

The cage was open.

The dog was only one step away from freedom…

But would he be able to save the old dog before something terrible happened?
