Together Since Birth
They were born on the same cold night.
Two tiny white puppies, barely able to open their eyes, curled together for warmth in a world that had already forgotten them.
From the very beginning, they were inseparable.
Where the older sister walked, the little brother followed closely behind.
They shared every scrap of food they found, slept side by side every night, and protected each other from the harsh streets they called home.
The sister was always gentle with him.
Whenever he got scared by loud noises or barking dogs, she would stand in front of him without hesitation.
Whenever he cried, she licked his tiny face until he calmed down again.
To the little puppy…
She wasn’t just family.
She was safety.
She was love.
She was his whole world.
The Morning She Never Woke Up
One quiet morning, the little brother noticed something was wrong.
His sister wasn’t moving.
He nudged her softly with his nose.
Then harder.
Again.
And again.
But she never opened her eyes.
The puppy let out small cries, confused and frightened.
He curled beside her tiny body, waiting for her to wake up like she always did.
But hours passed.
The sun moved across the sky.
Still… she didn’t move.
Rain slowly began to fall.
People walked by without stopping.
Cars splashed muddy water across the road.
But the little puppy never left her side.
Not for food.
Not for water.
Not even for shelter.
Every time someone tried to pick him up, he struggled to escape and ran back to her body, laying beside her once again.
As if he still believed she would wake up if he stayed close enough.

A Love That Never Left
Late that evening, rescuers finally arrived after someone reported seeing a crying puppy near the roadside.
What they found broke everyone’s heart.
The tiny white puppy was still there, soaked by the rain, trembling from the cold.
His head rested gently against his sister’s lifeless body.
One rescuer covered her mouth, trying not to cry.
Another quietly whispered:
“He’s been protecting her this whole time…”
Even after she was gone.
The little puppy had lost the only family he had ever known.
But even in death…
He refused to abandon her.
Because dogs don’t love for convenience.
They love with their entire heart.
And sometimes…
That kind of love lasts longer than life itself.
