The Day My World Broke Apart

I never imagined that one normal afternoon could turn into the worst day of my life.

One moment, Wony was still beside me — his tail wagging, his bright little eyes looking at me the same loving way they always had.

And then suddenly… everything was gone.

A terrible chain-reaction car accident happened so fast that I still replay it in my head every single night. The sound of tires screeching, people screaming, metal crashing into metal… it all became a nightmare I can never erase.

But the part that destroyed me most was seeing my precious Wony lying there afterward.

Still.

Silent.

Gone forever.

Wony Was Never “Just a Dog”

People sometimes say, “It was only a pet.”

But Wony was never just a dog to me.

He was my family.

My comfort on lonely nights.

My happiness after exhausting days.

The little soul who waited for me at the door no matter how difficult life became.

Wony knew every emotion on my face before I even spoke. Whenever I cried, he quietly rested his head on my lap as if he wanted to absorb all my pain himself.

He grew beside me through some of the hardest moments of my life.

And now suddenly, the house feels painfully empty without him.

The Last Moment I Held Him

I still remember kneeling beside him after the accident, shaking uncontrollably while calling his name over and over again.

“Wony… please wake up.”

I begged God for one more breath.

One more look.

One more chance to bring him home.

But his little body had already become weak in my arms.

I held him tightly while tears poured down my face, hoping somehow he could still hear my voice one last time.

And in that heartbreaking moment, I realized something unbearable:

The soul who loved me most in this world was leaving forever.

The Silence He Left Behind

Since Wony passed away, even ordinary things hurt.

His favorite spot near the couch is empty.

His food bowl still sits untouched because I still cannot bring myself to move it.

Sometimes I still hear imaginary footsteps running toward me when I open the front door.

And for a split second, my heart forgets the truth.

Then reality crashes back again.

Wony is not coming home anymore.

A Pain Only Pet Owners Truly Understand

Losing Wony felt like losing a piece of my own heart.

Because dogs do not love us for money, appearance, or success.

They love us completely.

Purely.

Unconditionally.

And when they leave this world, they take a part of us with them.

People saw a dog.

But I saw my baby.

My best friend.

My family.

Until We Meet Again, Wony

I hope wherever you are now, there is no fear, no pain, and no suffering.

I hope there are endless fields for you to run through and warm sunlight shining on your beautiful face.

Thank you for every moment you gave me.

Thank you for loving me so faithfully until your very last breath.

And even though losing you shattered me completely…

I would still choose you in every lifetime.

Run free now, my sweet Wony.

Dad will love you forever.
