Abandoned Beneath the Bridge in Freezing Darkness
On a brutally cold night in Erie, Pennsylvania, police received a disturbing call about a dog abandoned beneath a bridge.
The puppy had been left trapped inside a crate alone in the freezing darkness.
When officers first arrived, the situation looked hopeless.
The tiny red Siberian Husky appeared frozen and completely motionless.
For a terrifying moment, authorities were not even sure the puppy was still alive.

A Puppy Barely Holding On
Staff members from ANNA Animal Shelter rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the emergency call.
When rescuers reached the crate, their hearts shattered.
Inside was a six-month-old husky puppy curled tightly against the cold floor, covered in feces and barely responsive.
Her body was ice cold to the touch.
Her tiny paws had already suffered frostbite.
And the smell of urine surrounding her made it painfully clear she had been trapped there suffering alone for far too long.
Even more heartbreaking, the starving puppy weighed only 15.2 pounds — little more than skin and bones beneath her red fur.
The Puppy Was Slowly Dying
The moment rescuers checked her vital signs, the full horror became clear.
Her body temperature had dropped dangerously low to only 94 degrees.
Her heart rate was just 46 beats per minute.
She was shutting down.
Without immediate intervention, the young husky likely would not survive the night.
Rescuers immediately began emergency triage directly at the shelter while veterinary staff prepared for intensive care.

A Fight to Bring Her Back to Life
For the next three and a half hours, rescue staff refused to give up on the fragile puppy.
Warm blankets wrapped around her trembling body.
Heated IV fluids slowly fought the cold spreading through her system.
Vitamin injections, food slurries, gentle blow drying, and nonstop comforting surrounded the little dog as everyone desperately tried to save her life.
Then finally…
something incredible happened.
The puppy slowly stretched her legs.
Moments later, she weakly tried lifting her head for the first time.
Hope returned to the room.
Named by the Voice Who Helped Save Her
The puppy was later named Aimee after the emergency dispatcher who originally received the heartbreaking call about the abandoned dog beneath the bridge.
Although her condition remains serious, rescuers say her body temperature and heart rate have slowly begun improving.
Still, she is far from safe.
Veterinary teams continue monitoring her closely as she fights to recover from severe neglect, starvation, and exposure to freezing temperatures.

Justice for Aimee
Police in Erie, alongside the shelter’s cruelty investigation team, are now working to identify whoever abandoned the helpless puppy beneath the bridge.
What happened to Aimee has deeply affected everyone involved in her rescue.
Because no six-month-old puppy should ever be left freezing alone inside a crate waiting to die.
Yet somehow, despite unimaginable suffering, this tiny husky is still fighting to survive.
And now, an entire community is fighting beside her.
