What began as a terrifying house fire nearly turned tragic for a small dog named Bailey.

The frightened pup looked exhausted and shaken, but alive.
And thanks to the firefighter who spotted him in time, Bailey had survived what could have been his final moments.

After the rescue, Bailey was transported into the care of a local veterinarian where he continued recovering safely away from the smoke and chaos.
Though frightened by the terrifying experience, rescuers say the little dog is expected to continue healing with proper care and rest.
